Abstract

This study examines the impact of large-scale technological disruptions caused by the war in the Gaza Strip since October 2023 on software development projects, and the role of Resilient Technological Strategies (RTS), which encompass remote operations and green computing practices, in maintaining operational continuity and organizational resilience. A quantitative descriptive-analytical approach was employed, using data collected from 150 software professionals, including software engineers, project managers, quality assurance engineers, and UI/UX designers. Data were analyzed using SPSS and AMOS through descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation, exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis, and structural equation modeling (SEM). The findings indicate that infrastructure disruption is strongly associated with the adoption of RTS and, contrary to the hypothesized direction, shows a significant positive direct effect on operational continuity. RTS, in turn, significantly enhance operational continuity and partially mediate (complementary partial mediation) the relationship between infrastructure disruption and operational continuity. The study concludes that software organizations in war-affected environments can strengthen operational continuity and adaptive capacity through remote operational models, cloud-based solutions, and energy-efficient computing practices, contributing to the literature on digital resilience and crisis-induced technological adaptation.
