The impact of electronic discussions on improving the level of academic achievement, retention of learning, and achievement motivation among female students of Al-Aqsa Community College for Intermediate Studies in Gaza

The study aimed to explore the impact of electronic discussions on improving the level of academic achievement, learning retention and motivation for achievement among female students at the department of educational sciences, Al-Aqsa Community College for Intermediate Studies - Gaza. The researcher followed the experimental approach, with its semi-experimental design; based on designing two groups with pre-post measurement. Each group consisted of (20) students. The experimental group used electronic synchronous discussions, while the control group used face-to-face discussions. The study used an achievement test and a measure of achievement motivation. The results revealed that, using the electronic discussions had a high effect on the experimental group for developing academic achievement, keeping the learning effect, while it had a middle effect of developing the motivation for achievement. The most recommended point by the research was the necessity of employing electronic discussions in the educational system and managing them correctly to achieve desired educational goals.
