The study aimed to identify the degree of self-management practice among secondary school principals in the southern governorates of Palestine from their own perspectives and to determine whether there were statistically significant differences at the significance level (α ≤ 0.05) in the mean ratings of the respondents regarding the degree of self-management practice attributable to the variables of gender and educational qualification. To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher employed the descriptive survey approach. Based on the relevant literature, a questionnaire consisting of (28) items was developed. After establishing its validity and reliability, the questionnaire was administered to a sample of (142) male and female principals selected through a comprehensive survey method. The results revealed that the degree of self-management practice among secondary school principals was high. The findings also indicated that there were no statistically significant differences in the principals’ ratings of their self-management practices attributable to the variables of gender and educational qualification.
