Strategic development of human resource efficiency in light of globalization from the perspective of university students

The study aimed to identify the extent to which the strategic development of human resource efficiency achieved in light of globalization from the perspective of university students, and examined the role of variables: academic degree, place of residence, and academic level in determining the students’ viewpoint on the subject of study. The descriptive approach was used, where the researcher developed a questionnaire consisting of (26) items that measures the extent to which the strategic development of human resource competencies has been achieved in the shadow of globalization from the perspective of university students. The study population consisted of all the (150) students of Palestine Technical University Kadoorie / Ramallah Branch in the summer semester of the academic year 2017-2018. In addition, a stratified sample of (70) students was selected. The results of the study showed that the viewpoint of university students on the subject of strategic development of human resources competencies in the shadows of globalization came largely, It also indicated that there were no statistically significant differences due to the variables of place of residence and academic level, while it indicated that there were statistically significant differences due to the variable of academic degree and in favor of the bachelor's level. The researcher recommended to achieve harmony with rapid technological changes by adopting more modern and flexible methods in human resource management practices, with the aim of identifying the problems of obsolescence of human resources skills in modern technological means and providing the necessary training to talk about them before transferring it to them, through long-term development plans. Based on studying the characteristics of human resources and ensuring that they acquire the necessary skills for each individual in his workplace, in proportion to his needs.
